I have a class 2 in water treatment and a class 1 in Wastewater treatment. still use them both for a part time job. I try keep my certifications up so that I can work on some water distrcit when I am able to draw state retirment in 9 years. Plus they take to much schooling to just give them up even when you dont use them anymmore because of a career change.

I was a water and wastewater class 3 operator and supervisor down her in south ga for bout 16 yrs. I am a emt and firefighter now but still help out at the plants some. Looked over 4 different plants. I really enjoy it but they dont pay very much down my way.

Im a grade 4 waste water operator and have a grade 2 collection.
Also certified as a lab analyst and land application operator.

NC pay is slowly going up due to the fact that young people are not getting into the field.

I tell people i have to take crap off everybody!

The tests yall take pretty hard? Man that class 2 was roughest for me. Had to take it 3 times! Im glad my test days are behind me. I would like to get a water 3 though. You have to have experience though and these idiots here don't really want us to have it.

worked for the city of rusk for 3 years before making a career change. i have my lisc. on hold right now. they will be ready to pick back up when i need them.

im now a tow boat pilot pushing barges for a living.
