How soon do yawl try to start your pups drinking and eating off moma ?

i started mine at 2wks on mush mixture of ground puppy food, rice cereal, dry milk, and puppy gold. I started them yesterday on some water. in the beginning I made the mush really soupy so they would have to lap it up. now its thicker. they are still feeding on mama some at 4wks, but I think she is weaning herself off of them. when Im home, they get the mush 3x daily, otherwise 2x.

if you have a blender, that's the best way to grind up the puppy food. as I found out, use hot water to mix it, they wont have the shivers as bad after eating.

also, trim their nails after you worm. u can use a human toenail clipper. they should have teeth by now and teeth in addition to nails will drive mama crazy and not want to feed at all. i have wormed starting at 2wks, weekly, and trim nails after. they will lick their lips and be still so I can do it.
