What does everybody pay for mounts? Racoon,deer,turkey? Anything?

Just gettin an idea what it costs.

here in florida a good deer shoulder mount will run you about $450

i help a guy at nite after work and he charges 400 for deer, you get it back in 4 months.

As a taxidermist, I will be the first one to tell you that while price is certainly a consideration....it should not be your FIRST consideration.

Taxidermy prices are driven by local supply and demand. The guy that does it the "cheapest" may well be cutting corners. My last supply order had a shipping bill of almost $400.00 that is JUST TO HAVE THE SUPPLIES SHIPPED TO ME....so nothing is "cheap" any more.

Here in Northern Indiana, I can tell you of a guy that says he will mount your deer for $75.00, and I can give you the name of a fellow who will charge you $600.00. I have no idea HOW the guy is doing deer for $75.00, I have way more than that in just supplies and tanning! So the price varies.

I'll do a lifesize coon for you for $400.00. Pretty much the going rate for turkey is $500.00. Turkey supplies are VERY expensive...so that is the reason behind the price difference.

FRIEND OF MINE IN PENNSYLVANIA CHARGES 330.00 FOR A SHOULDER DEER MOUNT. DARN NICE WORK. HE IS A GOOD FELLOW AN A COONHUNTER TO BOOT. CHRIS 814-634-0672 OR 814-233-5014. RIGHT NOW HE HAS A MOOSE THAT WAS KILLED IN THE YUKON TERRITORY. IT IS HUGE, I COULD HARDLY PICK SKULL AND HORNS UP. IT WAS FEATURED ON THE OUTDOOR CHANNEL, THE GUY HUNTED WITH JIM SHOCKEY. GIVE CHRIS A CALL.
