I got a classic and the collar is giving me difficulty the thing will turn on at the truck give signal like its supposed to and then when I go cut the dog loose and bout the time I need to find my dog the collar is off or it'd won't give signal

batteries are weak. i have one and the first time it did that i thought the thing was shot. collar battery is going out. i have had mine for 5 yrs and love it. i use gps at night but when i am really trying to tune a dog in and learn him i go back to the beep beep

The receiver holds 2 9v batteries change those also. But most likely the two AA batteries in collar are weak.

Aren't those collar batteries lithium or something. They look like AA's but are something a little better if I remember right.

the tracker units have a tuner on them if you have the manuel still it tells you how to tune the unit in sink with the collar ive had two of the tracker outfits and you need to tune em everyounce in awhile .
