This is a little early, as this hunt will take place December 12th and 13th. This will be a BBOA Sectional both nights, as well as a bench show both days, and will be put on by the Shenandoah Valley Coon Hunters Assoc. at Barren Ridge, Virginia. Barren Ridge is located about 75 miles North of Roanoke, VA, about 75 miles south of Winchester, VA, and about 35 miles east of Charlottesville, VA within 3 miles of Interstate 81

The reason for posting this, this early, is; We would like input from everyone that would potentially attend, as to what would make this an above average hunt. One that would make you want to come. What type of extras, would you like to see.

Bottom line:

WHAT CAN WE DO TO GET YOU THERE !!!

Obviously this is open to all breeds.

Fellow, this is a new club starting up. If Shawn has taken the time to post this, he really wants your input. I have hunted with alot of the members in this club both competition and pleasure. If you want to attend a hunt where the best dog wins, then you need to look real hard at this club. You have got some members in this club who want to hunt with good dogs, have some good dogs, and know how to put on a hunt. I intend to support this club in any way I can. I look forward to seeing some new faces and making some new friends at this hunt. Good hunting everyone

I would like to try and come. It depends on my class schedule, but I may be able to make it to the Sat. portion.

What about water races? or will it be too cold?

Thanks for your input. I am sure it will be too cold, and we do not have the facilities to put on a water race, but I do appreciate the suggestion. This is what I am looking for; ideas that may attract you to this hunt. Cynthia, I do hope you can fit it in your schedule, and will look forward to meeting you.

Shawn,,,,,,,How far is that from Luray? My grandmother lives in Luray. I have an Uncle that lives in Fredricksburg as well. How far is that away. Sounds like we here, at Town Creek Blueticks, might just have to make some visits to the family......I look forward to it....TCB

Thanks for your reply. We are about 45 minutes from Luray, about an hour and a half from Fredricksburg. I know of several that will be coming from Shenandoah, VA, which is only about 20 minutes from Luray, as they are members of our club.
