the ones i tried were called woodland whispers, i have found that if u turned the volume just enuff to equal my good ear i can tell direction better than without. first time used it was when it was real cold with crusted snow on the ground. the sound of the dogs busting thru the snow just about drove me nuts. never used them since. and if the wind is blowing hard they made a terrible squeall

I am hard of hearing about equal in both ears but I can get direction OK. So it seems like I would need to buy them for both ears.A buddy of mine tells me when he hears the coon climbing a tree. Sometime on a crisp night almost two hundred yards off. Man it would add alot to the hunt to be able to hear like that.

You got that right I hate not being able to hear the dogs when everyone else can not to mention I can't hunt by myself cause the dog may sound like its on my left and it will be to my right

I am thinking of getting the Walker Game ear muffs anyone tried them? I had a cheap set of hearing enhancers from wal mart many years ago but they didnt work that great for me .

I have the letter from UKC took care of that 8 years ago if you are hearing impaired You just have to have it documented by your Dr. and send it to UKC they will give u a letter to give any UKC judge allowing you to use a hearing device during hunts doesn't have to be a certain Dr. I went to my ear nose and throat Dr. I was clinically deaf as a child I can hear enough now to function without too many problems but it effects my hunting ability especially when Im trying to hear my dogs or call turkeys it even effects deer hunting when the deer sounds like it is behind you and you look look look only to turn around and it's right in front of you or vise versa or when you think your dog is treed to your left and everybody else tells you no he is to the right lol or worse not hearing him strike at all when other ppl can
