How many hunted into the new year???

Was treed as the clock changed. Had a double. After a early rutting boar right now (I think?)

Great nite to hunt!!

For a real late December nite here in Ohio. 39 degrees, can't beat it for this time of year. Treed 6 and shot out 4 and went home. Happy New Year, Danny G.

Not sure how cold it is here, but it feels real nice, cool and crisp. Dog done a good job and got a huge sow laying on the front poarch, ran like a boar. Man she is fat a butterball. Wish I would have left her now, but first coon of the new year.

Best wishes to all you hunters in the new year.

I climbed a small ridge on my way to a tree, and ended up just below a house that was FIRING A CANNON! I swear could feel the percussion as I handled my dogs.
This might have been the worst year my family has ever had. Death, tornados, lost homes, drought, flood, and fire. I figured it would be about my luck to end it all blown to bits by a dang cannon!

We put a big boar on the outside after a LONG race. Had a good time and a great start to the new year.

I started later than I normally do and just had 4 den trees. I saw a set of eyes disappear in one of them as I was walking in to the dogs.

I did, in a misting rain. Zero encounters, still trying to get my young dog going. Was moving in the right direction, but deer season screwed it all up and I had to lay him up for close to 2 months.

We had a pretty good night other then my pup's first skunk! Treed a few coons, and had a good time but don't recall any fire works, LOL!

My two younger sons and I went out. We had a good night. Young dog treed a layup for her first she time. The darn coon had no tail, and a fresh nasty wound that looked infected. I think we did it a favor.

Oh ya, treed it about 11:50. Shotguns and fire works were going off not 1 minute after I shot it.
