Antibiotics (sorry this was not suppose to be it's own thread)

Try giving some strong antibiotics.I had a dog that something similar a few years ago, and nothing I did would clear it up.I tried everthing from shampoos to salves, finally I started giving him so pennicillan and it cleared up in a few days and he never had anymore trouble.

If the Pennicillin cured a Dermatology problem and no other treatment would work. Sounds like a Staph Infection to me.
We've treated a lot of skin problems on dogs thinking it was fleas, poison ivy, mange, scapied, etc. and ended up giving the dog a shot of Dura-Penn and 14 days of Amoxi. and it straightened right up.
Done a skin scrape and it was Staph.
Just thought I would give my 2 cents worth.
Best of luck and happy hunting.
