Mean around the food dish

How many of you guys have a dog that is growly or agressive when you feed them?

i would not have an aggressive hound on the place.like was said in above one growl at me and they will think long and hard before they growl at anyone again. I HAVE TWO GRND KIDS HERE THAT MEAN MORE TO ME THAN ANY DOG and they can play with my hounds anytime without fear

any dog i have on trial or any dog i buy first has to pass the food test. ive got 2 kids under 5 years old. they bother the dogs all the time and feed with me usually. if they stiffen up on me they will go down the road with a set of sore ribs. its unacceptable

Towards a person or another dog?
None of my dogs will bother a person.
But only one will let another dog eat with him.
And , I don't mind because I kinda feel the same way about my food ! LOL

I had one here at the house for a very little while. I knew the history of this dog and she had shared a feed bowl with an aggressive dog.

I pushed the issue with her, and we had a friendly discussion. At first she wasn't pleased with the outcome, but she is well passed that now. Now she even eats out of all of our hands with no issue.

I got one that will get mean towards other dogs when eating.

Tried beating, one day she jumped on another dog a shovel was used to separate em, well she was knocked across the pen got up took off full speed an jumped back on the dog. Apparently, she thought the other dog had done it LOL. Just a REAL determined dog, trees hard and fights a coon hard. Odd really considering she never is ill in the pen or at a tree and is friendly to everyone.

She is always fed separate and have no more problems.
