I have line bred this same strain for about 45 years. They are predominantly Mountain Music Blue, BeechRiver and Bates Bred Hounds with a small touch of Junior and Tackets Tymes Breeding. For those of you that might not recognize the BeechRiver hounds, they were the foundation of the Nuese River/SwampRooster hounds.
I like the Blue English a little better than the Red ones, and (in general) I like the male dogs from this line a little better than I do the females. My reason for that is that percentage wise the male dogs seem to be a little faster track dogs, with (maybe) a little better nose, or maybe its that they have a little more hustle/desire to push a track. Why I'm guessing is that I have always line bred off a male dog I raised back in the late 70's who was an exceptional track & tree dog.
sounds like youve got a great line of hounds !!!
