Hope you all don't mind if I make a suggestion as to why so many dens. My guess is that you only have a few hunting spots so these coon you are running are now educated and getting harder to tree. Now the ability of your hound will play a role in this as well but in general it is probably more that your coons are getting smarter.
I say this because I am hunting in areas within approximately 5-10 miles from where Ohio English is hunting and I have had 18 trees with coons in them, 3-4 empties and 3 dens. So I'm not seeing no where near the number of den trees that Ohio English and many others are seeing, and I'm guessing its because these coon I'm treeing have not been dogged near as much. We will all have that issue to deal with in Dec. & Jan. Good Hunting to all!!
