Purina Pro Plan?

I currently feed Purina Dog Chow ( green sack ) and am satisfied with both price & results. My question is how many feed the Pro Plan, is it worth the money, and can you really see a difference in the dogs health & performance? I have seen mixed reviews on the Internet but none of the reviews were from hunters / houndsmen.

You can definantly see the difference when feeding pro plan, If your like me though ya cant afford to feed it to all your dogs. I got one dog im hunting hard and she gets pp the rest get dog chow.

ProPlan is awful good ... you can mix it about 1/3 with DogChow and you will see some benefit without so much extra cost.

It does very well in the summer. I had a dog a few years back that got really hot in the summer months and switching her to Pro Plan really cooled her down.

When my field dogs are at training they eat Pro Plan Performance and I usually take some to transition them when I bring them back. I will tell you one thing the stool volume is scary there is so little of it. Makes you wonder if anything is stuck up in there. And the dogs never stop to crap, ever. Once they go that's it until the next day.

They hardly drink when they eat PPP too because the mineral content is so controlled. No constantly in the water buckets.

The Sport Line has a 26/16, 28/18 and 30/20.

The difference in feeding in Pro Plan to one dog is about a beer or two a month, so you can do yourself a favor and the dog a favor. The difference between PPP and Dog Chow is like night and day.

I have 3 dogs that are on it when they are at the trainer. The big male Spinone Italiano is 90lbs and he will eat 3 1/2 cups per day.

1 in the morning and 2 1/2 at night.

Pro plan performance!!! To one that your hunting hard. I always tried the other high end foods, native, DEA, but pro plan is my favorite by far. But don't try feeding a dozen dogs on it lol unless your rich.

I feed the sport 30/20. Thinking of switching to a lower protein and fat for summer but staying with the pro plan sport. Been feeding Pro plan for about 2 years the dogs build muscle not fat even if laid up for a few days.
