i have been thinking about trying to up date mine. i have read that some people have had problems with them.after they have been up dated looking for any info on this.i am not having any problems out of it my range is usually about 700 yards to 900 before i start losing signal.will the range get better if updated thanks for reading.

Their was a new range update added to the download in Oct. The updates keep your Garmin working at its best....

been wondering same thing have held out this long I usually get around 900-1000 before goes in and out hunt in mountains/ridges

Mine has the 3.70 software. I just just tried to update it and it says it already has the latest software with no other updates available.

I've never updated one that gave trouble after I finished.. Most the time it improved it.

with the 3.70 version what range do you get what terrain do you hunt? Are you also updating the collar? Running dc 20/30/40??

I run only 40's ....Where I live we can hunt a verity of area from sand to hills.... Hills is around a mile, last week in the sand, I could get around 1.5 mile with the stock antennas on the collars and the short antenna on the 320.. Add the long antenna on the hand held and tuff skins on the collars and you will pick up about 500 yards or more..

I update everything...The newest update is for the collar...
If my unit is current, I reinstall the version again. The Garmin teck said running the update kinda cleans your system...
