Ok so i have been doing research as i was told in the past ...If you have a "Beware of Dog" sign up it is like admitting you have a vicioius dog and you will be MORE liable if your dog bites someone.

Well the only thing i can find is that it depends on where you live.
Here in SC we seem to have no specific laws/statements regaurding the signs.

Seems that some are just going with a "dog on premisis" sign just to warn people there is a dog.

Our issue is that i dont want someone coming in the gate and then all the dogs come barreling around the corner and getting out....we live in a sort of neighborhood and the dogs are all big and kind of scary.

So sign or no sign or a different sign? Ive heard it all ways.

thats what i was thinking of doing...as much as i hate it when people just pull in and blow the horn , i think id rather them do that then risk letting the dogs out.

To me "Beware of Dog" signs mean 'enter at your own risk'. What happens after that is the responsibility of the trespasser in my mind. Of course legally I suppose a person can be held responsible under any circumstances but it seems to me they are asking for it if they ignore a warning sign. I don't see how having a warning sign up makes anyone any more subject to charges but instead means they are responsible enough to post a warning.
