!!! Garmin ? !!! Nothing Like The Others!!!

A FRIEND OF MINE JUST CALLED AND SAID THAT HE JUST FOUND TWO HOUNDS. THEY BOTH HAVE ON GARMIN COLLARS. THE QUESTION IS. IS THERE ANY WAY OF KNOWING WHERE THESE DOGS CAME FROM BY USING THE COLLARS?

Might call Garmin or Bruce Conkey and see if there is any kinda serial # on them that Garmin could tell who bought them. And I am sure that would only work if they sent in the warranty card.

.

Slough you are correct. It might take some leg work but Garmin should be able to track the serial numbers to their Dist. and then the Dist track to the vendor but then it could get clouded.

If the people have registered them with Garmin that may be able to help. I will call Garmin and see if they can track the serial number if registered.

I called Garmin and got someone on the phone within 2 minutes. They told me that if the product had been registered they could tell who owned the collars. They said they could not tell me the persons information but they could use their registeration information to contact the owner of the dogs.

So email me or pm me the serial number or call garmin yourself and give them the serial numbers off the collars.

I FRIEND THAT LIVES ONE HOUR NORTH OF ME HAD TWO STOLEN FROM HIS KENNEL. THESE DOGS ARE ONE HOUR SOUTH AND FOUND BY ANOTHER FRIEND. THE TWO DIDN'T HAVE NAME PLATES WHEN FOUND BUT HAD ON GARMINS. ONE HAS BEEN RAN OVER BY A CAR. SO WE ARE THINKING THEY ARE SAME DOGS. SO I THINK THE SHERIFF DEPT WILL BE INVOLVED. THANKS FOR THE HELP. JUST MIGHT GET TO CATCH A DOG THIEF.
