Mr. Clean is a good one, but he and all the rest of the qualified hounds have 4 hours of nite hunting they got to do first. Then would be the time to ask that question

It was nice last year around Columbia City. I always enjoy the hunting in good coon country.

Is there anything to do or look at if I just wanted to go up and hang out? any campers to visit, vendors, food etc. I have never been to a world hunt and would like to see what its all about. Thanks

Chad, the World Hunt is all about the hunt. A few vendors but nothing even remotely like AO or the GA. You get some local coon hunters that come to see who is there but this a coon hunt and not a whole lot more.

Thanks Jeff, I kinda figured that. I understand why. Although I would like to see UKC make this a big deal....Maybe have something during the day to attract visitors...food, a few vendors, a dog show, and more importantly....Get a bad A$$ podium built and walk ea. cast threw with name of dog, handler, and owner. make it be a proud moment that alot more of us hunters would enjoy going to, give the dog, owners and handlers the appriciation they deserve. I would also like to see a way to have the final cast videoed. JMO
I would love to go to the hunt, but to drive hrs to watch a cast leave is kinda worthless.

Well they do have the World Bench show during finals weekend and UKC makes a big show of it with interviews with Final Four. It just isn't anything like AO. You are down to just 20some dogs by the weekend.

More than likely end up being a dog that only a few people on here have ever heard of and within a week 100 people will be on here singing it's praises and wanting to breed to it proclaiming it the next coming of Rat Attack before they even see a pup out of it.

my vote goes for JR's Dizzy Dot..........gotta root for her since i qualified her and zones and world is pretty much as close to our back yard as the hunt will ever be!

just gotta hope my buddy takes her to the zones and see what happens if they do go!

im working in NC and cant make it...

y'all that bought pups might have pups from a world champion! now wouldnt that be kinda cool?!?!?

we got 1 left incase anyone wants to own a pup directly out of a POSSIBLE world champion!! (HAHAHAHA..wishful thinking and a joke...but very well could turn out to be true.....never know..)

World Hunt Winner??????

I don't have a clue but if I was picking an almost no name dog I would say watch out for Buck Creek Magnum 2. He is in tennessee now ,but he grew up in the corn fields of Ohio and hunts corn fields much like Mr. Clean. Go Bobby Allen and Magnum 2 (Buck).

I've always thought it would be nice if the final 4 could be Friday night so there could be a real nice awards ceremony before the show on Sat. so there would be more people around . They do that for 5th on down but by early Sunday morning when the final 4 come in there's not a large number of people left and the awards are passed out , pic's taken and it's over. Just seems like there should be a bit more hoopla for such a big win. You know ,back slappin ,hand shakin ,etc.. We've always liked to stay when possible but sometimes cutting corners on expenses gets in the way of staying another night these days. Also can follow it on- line which gives another option besides hanging around.
