pup trainer

hey guys just got my son a bluetick pup and was planning on putting it with my 3yo walker when its big enough to keep up. what im wondering is would it be better to find a older calmer dog to train this pup with..my walker isnt ill in anyway but gets very excited on tree jumping up on the tree and im afraid after the pup gets landed on a few times it might shy him away from the tree. so what do you guys think?

There are so many faults a pup trainer can have that if jumpin on a tree is the worst one then the pup ought to learn quick to stay out from under him. I can tell what tree a dog is treeing on if it is 6 feet off a tree. Maybe one day the boys (judges) toting the scorecard will have enough sense to be able to do it too. Until then, Happy Trails To You Untill We Meet Again.

In my experience pup usually figures out not to stay under the old dog, but generally I only take a pup a had full of times with a old dog before I start to single them out. Just be prepared for some BORIN' nites if you do single tha pup out.
