Red dot sights

Do any of you guys or gals use a red dot sight for coons? If you do what kind and what do you think of them. Thanks

I have a red dot scope on my T.C Contender. It is put away right now so I will have to go find what power and brand. It is really accurate.Quite honestly I just can't seem to trust how it can be so accurrate when the dot is not centered in the scope.Guess it works like a peep sight. But I can't come to trust them either.......

I tried one. The least little bump would knock it off sight. I threw it away. When i coonhunt my gun is my walking stick, brush knocker, fence holder and all purpose stick. Lol. Good ole iron sights for me

I like mine. It is very accurate in the distance you have it sighted for. Mine is set to about 60 feet. If a coon is much higher or lower in the tree, I have to make some minor adjustments by aiming a little high or a little lower.

That is what mine is sighted on my T.C.One night one of first nights I was carrying it and that ole coon was way higher.Just barely had a spot to aim at.I am thinking dag-gone it I wish I had the rifle.I am no pistolaro .I got a good steady aim and the dot actually was covering the spot on the coon the target spot was so small.Crack... and I could not believe it but I had hit him.

I've got one on my crickett! It's a cheap one but it works fine. Just don't forget to turn it off, if the batteries run dead in the woods it is worthless lol!

The cheap ones without turrets for pellet rifles work ok just not to sturdy, or magnification.
