At what point?

At what point do you start going backwards on training young hounds with the combonation of super dry conditions and a full moon.I can't remember the last time we had a rain.We were having trouble moving tracks before the full moon phase. It has cooled off but there is'nt even dew on the ground alot of mornings.
What is some of you guys thinkin on young hounds and bad hunting conditions? And if it's better to take em on out or let em sit?

I've been hunting right through it. Dogs look sorry one night, better the next, but I figure if they can tree coons right now they oughta really turn it on when we get some moisture, cooler temps, and less moon. Same reason I've been hunting them in the worst swampy jungles I can stand. I figure if I can tree coons in there right now, cattle pastures and hillsides in November should be a cakewalk...
That said, if a young dog I'm messing with has two or three real bad nights in a row and I feel like I can honestly blame it on the conditions, I'll put her up for a few nights.

I don't see the weather really getting much better around here. I say keep hunting them. They got to learn how to hunt in all conditions. It will just make them better. The only time I feel like they are going backwards is when they start to look like they are losing interest in what they are suppose to do.
