**Garmin DC30 Charging Problem**

I have two dc30 collars and I put them on charge last night. One of the collars came on fine and charged like it suppose too and the light shut off. The other one when I slid the charger into the slots. The blue light came on and then started flickering and it never did charge up to where the light will shut off. What could be the problem with this collar? Thanks for any info.

Your not making a good connection just clean the contacts. If that isn't it then who knows.

I know of 5 collars that are having charging problems. For me the charger works fine on one collar while it does nothing on another. Who works on these things?

Try unhooking the battery for 10 minutes, worked for one of mine that wouldn`t take a charge.

.

It is most likely a connection problem. One thing that works good for me is to add a small amount of solder to the two contact points on the CHARGER. Takes less than a minute once the solder iron is hot and solves the problem.

Garmin flaws

JMO... garmin should have worked the bugs out of this product before going to market. I have 3-DC30 collars and started having charging problems very early on followed by reception problems. I would loose contact at 150 or so yards and never pick the collars back up. To their credit Garmin made it good but a couple months ago my reception problems started again. Garmin rebuilt one collar for $85 and reconditioned my 220 at no charge. Everything worked fine for one hunt but now I have one collar out of 3 that the receiver will pick up and the newly rebuilt one won't pick up at all. Also have bought 2 additional chargers and 2 out of 5 work and I have spent nearly $75 in shipping and insurance. I have spent more time on the phone with garmin than I care to remember and have tried everything they suggested. I can disassemble and reassemble the dc30 in my sleep! When it's working it's the best thing since sliced bread and ready roll cigarettes but I am throughly disgusted! Just wanted to get that off my chest!
