Well unless you are shooting nuisance coon. Nuisance coon can be legally killed by any legal method at any time of the year. In fact, if you run coon during our quiet period, you better be carrying an iron and doing what ever it takes to stay on the property you have permission to kill nuisance coon on.

April 15 - July 8th. No dogs of any kind loose near wildlife.

We still have nite hunts on private land and of course nuisance coon control on private land.

April 15th to July 8th. Unless you are running nuisance coon. And stick to what Larry said. I also think along with that you need a valid Fur Harvestor's License.

Tracy,

I don't think you need a license for nuisance. You don't need a license to train, but you need a license to hunt and harvest.

Jake,

Yes, you can run on public land the rest of the year. Up by Traverse though have a good set of needle nosed pliers. The dang porcupines are a pain.

Last I knew Larry, you had to have a license to run during training season, before and after kill season. I just assumed that it was needed for nuisance too.

South Carolina; as far as I know but I might be behind the times: Killing season, is Sept 15, which is one month after deer season startsTo March 15 which is when Turkey season starts. Which is fine with me because if you buy a pack of seed for 15 cents and look on the back at the map you will see planting zones. SC has three zones which ain't got nothing to do with coon hunting season, but it works out cool to me. Truthfully, I'm on the coastal zone, which means I can't really start to hunting dogs that I like and want to keep until the middle of November. So I loose a month on the front end. By March 15 in a normal year, the Gators have been out for 2 weeks, so in reality, my self prescribed season is 6 weeks shorter than the law says, but that is just me.2/3rds of the rest of the State get the whole shebang. Plus if you want to train pups in skeeters and ticks and snakes and so on, you can year round if you want to.

We need a "bigger and better" Government , program , to limit the Gators. BS, we need more thunder and lightening strikes.

Nah I don't think Wolves are a problem in the Lower Penninsula yet. You'll see plenty of Coyotes though.
