South Carolina; as far as I know but I might be behind the times: Killing season, is Sept 15, which is one month after deer season startsTo March 15 which is when Turkey season starts. Which is fine with me because if you buy a pack of seed for 15 cents and look on the back at the map you will see planting zones. SC has three zones which ain't got nothing to do with coon hunting season, but it works out cool to me. Truthfully, I'm on the coastal zone, which means I can't really start to hunting dogs that I like and want to keep until the middle of November. So I loose a month on the front end. By March 15 in a normal year, the Gators have been out for 2 weeks, so in reality, my self prescribed season is 6 weeks shorter than the law says, but that is just me.2/3rds of the rest of the State get the whole shebang. Plus if you want to train pups in skeeters and ticks and snakes and so on, you can year round if you want to.
We need a "bigger and better" Government , program , to limit the Gators. BS, we need more thunder and lightening strikes.
