Question about Bobcat Dogs?

What makes a good bobcat dog? Do you want one that has a cold nose? Says alot on track? One that doesn't say much on track? What about track speed? Can you take a very good coon dog and turn him into a bobcat dog? Just would like for some one to deceive the perfect bobcat dog.

Thanks

Brains is what I think makes a good one. Helps if they are cat minded too. A good nose helps and track speed is a plus.

bobct dogs

i belive that a good cat dog has to have brians, cold nose- [ take a 2 day old track and have a cat at the end ] and most of all, in my opion, feet and legs are one of the most inportant things
a cat dog must have-- also a good heavy coat of hair for the area i hunt.-- he can be the smartest dog in the world but if he can't hunt every day, -- too me -- the dog wouldn't be that great an asset to my pack -- thank you, nelson cole

cat dog

A good cat needs it all. cold nose ,good speed not so much that their loseing the track all the time, most of of all must be a super tree dog. Treeing a cat is not like treeing a coon , must stay sometime for hours till you can caught up

my **** hardwired coon dogs have ruined more bobcat chases than i can count! LOL. from switching tracks to pulling up on coon dentrees or holes in the ground. a GOOD coon bred dog will do fine i feel but not a hard trained coondog especially in coon country. running bobs isnt easy compared to other critters from what ive seen, i hope to someday have a close to perfect cat dog. LOL. happy hunting.

Too bad a good hunting thread has to be disrupted by bull**** posts by rongda. Maybe the moderators can get this person removed from the board.
