I was the happiest Grandpa ever Sat night.
About a month ago Ronnie Mccullough came by and wanted to know if I had a young dog ready to hunt or started that I would part with. I told him I had just let a couple go to young hunters trying to get started and I didn't at this time.
Gentry Hunt our 11 yr. old grandson was there and when Ronnie left he said he might let his 9 mo. old pup go that he had won in the pup drawing at the Ark St. youth hunt last fall. I called Ronnie and he said he might trade Nt. Ch. White Riv. Stylish Storm for gentry's pup (Storm is 8 yrs old) if Gentry liked Storm. We picked Storm up for Gentry to hunt with, had a couple of good hunts and Gentry liked her.
Sat night was the club hunt at TRSA in Blue Eye, Mo. !st Gentry wanted me to hunt her and him just go along. Then about 5:00 he decided he wanted me to go along and let him call her.
He drew out with 3 good hunters and 3 fine hounds.
He did all the calls by his self and he scored 375+ and 0- on 2 coon and won 1st place in his very 1st hunt, with his own dog at 11yrs. old.
A VERY, VERY PROUD GRANNY and GRANDPA!!!
CONGRATS GENTRY WAYNE HUNT and STORM!!
now that right there is what it is all about , great thing you are doing by passing this along to the kids ,tell the little one good job and keep up the great work with the new dog
