If you get Bloodlines magazine there is an add with a picture of Cain on page 51 of the Walker issue (Feb 2011).

He's black blanket backed and mostly red headed. Nice looking dog.

go to Don Nicely's site www.finleyriverchief.com on formum section, you should be able to find about any dog you might want to know about. Cain ad is http://finleyriverchief.forumotion.net/t1193-turpin'sinsane cain , you can go back a few generations from there with ads and pictures , if thats not far enough back I have some that would add to about 8 generations.

The pictures they used on the stud dogs are about the easiest to find online , might not be the best, but gives and idea of what they looked like. You might get lucky and the owner read the post and is able to help you out. It would be easier if some other KC's opened the vaults and put up the photos that used to be needed to certify the the dogs .... too bad with the DNA that's not required now. You might check and see if the stud owner has a website, it might be they would have photo's showing side views of the dogs on there. You very seldom see any photos of the females anywhere, on them it involves luck of owner seeing post, finding a photo of winners of a hunt, or hoping that you luck up and find where they had posted a photo online bragging on their dog.

Hello Lizz :
I checked an old ad and located Turpins website, shows different pictures than what may be found in the ads .... as long as you want photos on tree ! Try www.turpinkennels.com , there is and email listed so you might get photo sent from him .
It might be you could download pictures and fool with contrast and get one that suits you, as the ones in the ads are usually to dark to see details. At least the ones he had on his site didn't have writing on them just the dog. You might check to see if anyone around has old back issues of the Cooner or Bloodlines and scan the photos .... as I have seen photos of females that made up the bloodline in Ball's and Guess' ads from years ago.
