2010 WV Bear Season

This picture is of the first bear taken on opening day of the 2010 season. The proud young shooter getting a "bear hug" is James Bradford. Pictured left to right is grandpap of shooter, Lawrence Haggerty; owners of the dogs that treed bear, Matt Healy and Scott Kuhn; and good buddy of the shooter, Seth Taylor. This boar weighed in at 225lb.

This picture is of the second bear for the day. These English dogs kept this 200lb bear up an 8 inch tree for about 3 hours before we finished up with the first bear and made it into them. Believe me, this bear had a few bald spots on his rearend.

Final picture is of the bear taken by Corey Patterson a few days into the 2010 season. Front row from left to right is Matt Healy, Corey Patterson, Scott Kuhn and Mark Lambka. Back row: Jeff Haggerty, Lawrence Haggerty, John Barbarito and Nat Taylor.

The English dogs are all the old Turkey Ridge Racket bloodline. The black dog is a cross between one of my english gyps and a male out of Big Time Albert blood. There isn't a Walker there.
