Just wanted to say GREAT JOB to the folks who put on the SC State Championship this weekend! GREAT location, GREAT food, WELL organized, LOTS of vendors, GREAT time for all!!

Florida and South Carolina Associations have done an outstanding job with their hunts! Both locations were great and both events exceeded expectations for me! Of course, you can't please everyone but I just want to say

Unfortunately Cleo you are not alone! More and more people leaving UKC and going elsewhere. Things have gotten out of hand and left lots of people with a bad taste in their mouth. BUT.....ukc is making strides to make things better. Let's hope these articles Allen is writing will help. I am hopeful but not optimistic. I think the people it will address have no "moral code" and will just continue to do what they been doing. Its the good folks that are leaving and not the ones that are doing wrong. Give it some thought and take a break if you need to!! Sure hate to see you go! Keep me posted on our Kane babies!! So excited about his first litter!!

Cleo, I feel the same way you do sometimes...especially when you have the best dog and you just plain don't get used. More than once. LOL. Not going to let it make me quit though. I guess I'll just keep wasting money and NOT wasting wins until a judge or two (or a few) comes along that appreciates my dogs haha! We had fun this weekend though...

I am not quitting. I am just going to do other things then show with mine. I am not able to hunt but I have a great friend who obedience trains and he and I are going to get them started in that as well. I have lost many times. I was somewhat taken aback after I saw the pics in some of the classes but a dog show is won by a judges opinion not mine. When it's all said and done I still love what's in my kennel. I just think there is a lot of people that take it way too seriously. Peoples feelings are more important then a plastic trophy. We all let it get to us at times but when it consumes us, we need to take a reality check on ourselves. Jmo. Thank you both. I enjoyed the show as well. I loved where it was!! I just knew wade was gonna jump in!!
