Had a male that had one.
Steroids brought him out of it.

My Ol Chance Dog blew a disc in his back During the ice Storm
he was totally Down to the point of dragging his back leg
The options were 2000.00 for surgery with a 50/50 chance or 6 weeks complete bed rest with dex (steriods)
I packed him back and forth to the bathroom twice a day for 6 weeks seemed to come out of it fine then 3 mo later he jumped off the bed and rehurt himself 4 more weeks bed/crate rest.
He was outside chasing a squirrel just a few min ago LOL
We let him out in the running pen for 1/2 hour to and hour a couple times a week he is 10 now slowed him Down For sure but he will stay around for a few more years hopefully.

Hey Brian, Don't give up on Winnie. Take her to the vet if you need to. She's apart of your family and she is counting on you. I know you well do the right thing. I have such a big hart for pets some times I go out of my way to do for them. That just me. Let us know how she is coming along.
