Which beep beep system?

My tax return isnt going to be as big as i thought it would and it looks like I will have to buy a used tracking system instead of the garmin i had hoped for. Who makes the best beep beep systems? I like the more compact style of the tracker systems but are they as good?

I have a wildlife and it works pretty good and I also have had a tracker classic before to. If you want one to carry on your side go to ebay and look at them there is the cheapiest place.

I see used garmins on here all the time..They are cheaper than a beep beep..Do whatever you want but I'd save a little more and wait till I could afford a garmin..Throwing money away on a beep beep..

Look on the classifieds under OTHER. You may find a good tracker for less the you thought.

I would look for a garmin, first and foremost. Buying a beep beep, in my mind, would be like going out and buying a 10 year old computer. You spent the money, and are already way behind times.

Give Valley Creek, or maybe one of the other bigger supply places a call. I know Valley Creek has had refurbished Garmin handhelds before, along with used DC-30's. And I believe Redgy told me they would warranty them for 90 days, which is better than nothing.

Or look up Redgy Ramsey on this board.

They don't have the refurb units all the time, but he can probably at least tell you if they expect to have some anytime soon.

I use the deer pack's Quicktrack system with Wildlife collars AND my Garmin unit on my coonhounds. Have only had an issue once with my Garmin, but I like to be extra careful. If you hunt a lot of areas that you're very familiar with, you'll learn how to pinpoint your dog pretty accurately with a "beep beep" system, but it sure is convenient to see how to drive there (or find a shorter walking route) on the Garmin LOL....

I have used a Tracker Maxima for about Ten Years now, and have not had a single problem with it.
I recomend getting Sealed Tracking collars from L&L though, and you will have a good easy to carry tracking system that will last you for several years.

you all talking about the L.L.Electronics tracking system?
i got my mn-10 receiver and 2 rechargerable collars back in 1992 and still got them,,added 2 more collars to the system around 5-6 yrs ago,i went with the rechargerable collars and converbelt type collar and glad i did...i have the 218.500-599 receiver ..the freaky part about that freq. is the one night we heard voices comeing from the 1 collar,,lol,,it was the same freq that the little small aircraft was useing that was flying over us that night, scared my buddy and i,,the dog treed and the tree switched went off and then we heard voice's ,,we called the dog and headed for the truck,,the dog beat us back to the truck,,lol

Keep the money you get and save it for a while. The new GPS's will be out in a while. You will be able to pick up the others pretty cheap and you will be able to save a little more to go with what you are getting back. It will be worth the wait to be able to cary something in your pocket that will show you your dogs, a map to how to get to them and a guideing system to take you back to the truck back tracking right back threw the same water crossings you crossed to get there.
