DC 40 Collars

How are they doing these days? I have buddy that has one that has been updated and it still loses communication alot and sometimes we lose it definitely. Also sometimes we have a hard time picking it up initially. I just wondered how everyone else is doing with them.

Mine doesn't loose communication but does have a battery issue. As soon as you take it off the charger and it connects to the hand held, the battery shows to be dead. The other is after they are fully charged, they go dead in a couple of days.
If any of you are having these issues call and send them in.

My fathers been using his DC 40 on his coyote hounds, says its been working good. Only issue hes had is if the dogs get out of range for a long time it doesn't pick back up. It was bought when the 40s first came out, and has never been updated.

I just bought one right before christmas, I have used it 3 times. I have not had any problems with it. I hunt where there are a lot of hills. Its worked just fine so far. But I will say this is the first one I have had so I can't compare it to the DC30.

I have a DC40.....Hated the thing before I updated it but ones I updated it, I have loved mine.....Goes longer range than my 30's do and hardly ever looses communication, and if I do happen to loose it all I have to do is pull out my long range antenna and it picks it right back up
