Remote Control Dog box opener.

I'm looking for something that I don't know if it exists, or not. Or, if there is something I could modify.

I would like to be at some distance from the truck (1/4 mile or less) and to be able to REMOTELY open the dog box door to let a dog out.

Is there anything readily available that would allow me to do this?

John, it can be done, but I am not sure if it would be worth the time and money to modify (also not sure of the distance) but they make remote control door openers for handicap and disabled people.

Looks like John is cooking up another idea. I hope this isn't to train those black dawgs to do search and rescue of their aging owner.

Dawgs!!!! I have fallen and can't get up!

Sorry John ... I couldn't resist.

I've seen on the web where coyote hunters have electric latches so they can dump the box from the cab. Something like this should be able to be modified to work with a remote starter or keyless enty switch.
