Want to find your stolen hounds?

Please email or pm to me the location, schedules & dates of Trade days where dogs are bought & sold in INDIANA, MISSOURI, NORTH CAROLINA & OHIO (others also appreciated).
If coonhunters will help - I just might have info for you.

GOD BLESS YOU!

Sonia! God Bless you for what you do to help get HUNTERS and their HOUNDS back together!

Hope this finds EVEN ONE hounds REAL HOME! If so then you succeed!

Hunters HAVE to work together! Have to work with ALL sorts of people...

LOTS of folks on here know Bob and I have done plenty in the past to help BnT rescue- foster, transport and God Help Us... adopt... HOWEVER... FIRST and FOREMOST... I want EVERY lost or STOLEN hound to get BACK home where it should be. OBVIOUSLY truly abused hounds need to get help and plenty of hunters HELP get those hounds to safety....
I have PLENTY of rescue people who dislike Bob and Me because of our "ties to coonhunting" and desire to coonhunt. etc... Got plenty of coonhunteres who have disliked us for our "ties to rescue"... Funny thing is most of you folks on here who have actually met us kinda like us= even if I AM one of the oddest women in the world...

Sonia, BEST of luck with this effort! You are a GodSend!
HappyHUNTING Heather

I'm compiling info

I've been collecting info about stolen dogs - the ones taken from pens & shows and the ones that "disappear" while hunting. ALL of you know there are people dealing in stolen dogs.
I PERSONALLY HAVE HAD 2 BLUETICKS VANISH IN THE WOODS.
A couple of months AFTER one of them disappeared I learned about local traders & where they operate but by then it was too late. You see, I had no idea how EXTENSIVE AND PROFITABLE stealing hounds could be until I started asking questions. We also had a CLASS B Dealer operating in this area - and HE was caught taking dogs off of porches when he thought no one was home. He sold them to a research clinic in Houston & bragged about making $2,500 in a month.
Right now, maybe because there are more hunters in the states I've listed, or maybe because more people from those states have posted, it seems certain states suffer the most. Relating the days, months & locations of thefts can indicate a pattern. I was an investigative reporter for more than 10 years & this coonhound theft situation has piqued my interest. The OTHER fact to be aware of is that the AR people prowl around looking for animals to "save." High on their list are the penned and chained dogs (especially when visible from the road). HOUNDS are a prime choice by the RADICALS because they represent hunting and are considered to be vicious. Often hounds have been taken directly to a "shelter" and euthanized with the blessing of a shelter director. This is a matter of record. Think about what type it takes to oversee the continuous euthanization of dogs. Remember that HSUS has a goal of ZERO DOMESTIC ANIMAL POPULATION. I'm not saying ALL of those working at shelters are evil - for some it's just a job to put food on the table.
I'M ASKING FOR THIS INFO BECAUSE I WANT ALL OF US TO KNOW
WHAT'S GOING ON WHEN IT COMES TO THE SAFETY OF OUR HOUNDS. I'm disppointed that some of you are doubting my intentions. The reason I asked for email or pms is so that you could give me info in confidence. I would never reveal my sources - but if y'all want to be informed, share your info & it will benefit all of us.

ALSO

I will put my info in a Coonhound Bloodlines article when and IF I get everything tabulated. But I cannot put together charts of relativity without everyone's SINCERE input. iT WILL NOT BE FINGER POINTING OR NAME CALLING - with more info it will demonstrate a PATTERN that should indicate where to look FIRST & how far you'll need to look.

Is one of the nicest ladies you will meet. She porbably would be chasing a hound through the woods tonight if age hadn't crept up on her. Why when someone wants to do something nice it is always bad. Maybe some of the people that got offended by the post have a stolen hound at their house. In the state of Louisiana you can still be hanged for livestock theft and I think it should go the same for pets.
Thank you Sonya Yearwood for your concern.
This lady has more interest in your right as a coonhunter than you probably do.

Thank you for your support.

To make this successful I NEED ALL OF THE INFO YOU CAN GIVE ME NATIONWIDE in order to construct useful charts/diagrams. My Oklahoma hunting buddy's UKC World Qualified TW was stolen from his yard many years ago & he located his hound in OHIO because fellow coonhunters gave him local dog trader info. He actually went to Ohio, saw his dog & the man told him he could buy his dog back for $2,500, the amount he had paid for the dog. My friend tried to take his dog from the man's yard where it was tied, but a big guy moved in (before he could take more than a couple of steps toward his dog) & took the dog out of sight. The man was the Mayor of a small town & the Sheriff's deputy left remarking, "Well it looks like the two of you have it all worked out." That's when my friend realized he was dealing with thugs & it was not a situation he could safely win. I hunted with my friend & that TW many times & that TW was one of the best I've followed.
