I don't need a dog food analysis website, feed guidline table on the bag of feed, and etc...... to know what works for my dogs. I see in person how the dogs do on feeds to know what works and doesn't work.

Whose putting out these dog food analysis websites? Folks trying to make money?

Click on the INFO tab of that site and list their Amazon Store book products they are selling.

If you look at the FAQ tab question of What is the best food for my dog?

There is no single best food for every dog. However good the quality of ingredients, a food that suits every single dog does not exist. This site provides its users with information on the content of dog food products and the opinion of our Editors on the species-appropriate quality of those foods. There is no guarantee that any food, however highly rated, will suit a particular dog (just as one food suiting a dog does not mean that the next food in the same category will equally suit the dog). Finding the best food for your individual does, and always will, involve some amount of experimentation.

Which goes back to my first paragraph of this post.

Warning, if your not ready to be told every affordable dog feed is junk, then stay off that website.

I believe its strictly a foo-foo dog, feel good thing for wealthy pet owners who dont realize theyre dogs ARE'NT human.

there is no need in anyone getting upset. facts are facts. you can't digest corn and neither can the dogs. its all just waist. most feeds are cheap because they use lots of corn which is a cheap filler, but they get nothing from it. lets use an example. lets say you take a full measuring cup of cheap corn baised feed such as purina and a cup of taste of the wild. in the cup of purina there is less digestable feed, so they get less out of it. that is all i'm trying to say. you actually get more for your money by buying the better feed and your dog lives healthier. like i said before you and i can live on balogna and crackers, but see how long that last. i would bet if you have a heart attack and the doctor told you if you want to live you have to eat better, you would change your diet.

another example is this. i have a friend that owns a dog food company, and i'm not naming the company, that told me he can take saw dust and mix it with chicken blood and make whatever protein based feen you want with it, but its not good for the dogs. this isn't rocket science and i'm not an expert, but when i see facts, i will change. i have always been told that if i just don't know that makes me ignorant, but if i know better and do it anyway that makes me stupid.

to each their own,

eddie

Eddie, please Google DIGESTIBILITY OF CORN IN DOGS , those exact words, and then read the studies done on the matter, corn is 99.8% digestible.

The big conglaumerate pet food companies, prolly the same ones sponsoring, dog food analysis are the ones who came out with the marketing plan that corn is bad for dogs and not digestible. Its just flat not correct.

Some of these same studies are quoted and used in the MERCK veterinary manual, that is a guidebook for alot of vets.

I couldnt even find mine. It must really be crap. I see several "low" rated feeds that I cant even afford. I let my dogs tell me if the feed is any good. LOL

I couldn't find what I've been feeding either. Been feeding deer meat scraps since deer season. My dogs are fat, happy and in good shape. Wonder where they would rate my feed? It was -17 below this morning here and dogs were standing outside in their pens waiting to be fed at 8AM this morning.
And, no my dogs don't run deer cause I feed deer meat. I also feed beef scraps and they don't run cows either.LOL!
