Personally, I think a tri-colored dog of any breed isn't much to look at. I've always thought tri-color is just plain boring. The majority of the dogs in my yard, are tri-colored (Walkers) but that's because I'm not putting looks before ability.
I'll often refer to a dog as "good looking", not because it is my preference but because it seems to be the preference of the majority. For example, one of them purty, cherry red headed, big ole houndy eared, blanket backs, most coonhunters feel is "good looking" so if I see one or am telling my buddy about it, I'll say its a good lookin' dog.
Give me one of them black & white, 1/2 faced beauties any day.

I don't know JiM, there is a fella just south of you that seems to have cornered the Ugly market down to a science!
