They run circles, Reds run a much bigger circle and Greys will tree if they push him hard.

I've always heard that a fox will run to the ridge and run back and forth and circle the ridge. That is if you are hungting in the hills, not sure about flat land.

my plotts, along with my stephens cur, run them more than anything else. i don't know what kind they are but they will run parrellel to a road and go back and forth. or, they will go out, go left and right and come back. at least they're not running deer.

I have a lipper bred walker that just loved grey fox when he was a pup. I think we finally got him broke. he never did care much for deer.

Never ask a man what kind of dog he has. If he has a hound he'll tell you, if he does not, you don't want to shame him by asking.

Here in the flatlands they run in circles. If its a deer the walkers run it out of the country. LOL. Couldnt resist!!! My Leopards ran fox and yotes when they were just starting. They havent ran one in quite awhile but when they went out on a hill and started running circles in the scrub I would light them up with the old tri-tronics.
