Garmin Collar Battery

Anyone know why they cant put the long lasting batteries in them like they did on some of the old beep beep colors, the kind that last something like 14000 hours and then die out and you buy another one. Seems like they might be a little more expensive but you would save a lot in batteries and it would eliminate the risk of having to leave a dog in the woods and the collar go dead, just a thought.
