Numerous posts on here have answered your question and you still won't listen. It has NOTHING TO DO with running trash! NOTHING! It's all about getting your hound to handle to the best of it's ability. You get out and hunt in these hunts and you will find a lot of guys run shockers on their dogs all the time. I've been smoked by plenty of them wearing shockers. With a shocker you can call a dog in when you need to. If you absolutely can't get to a dog treed (and you should realize this happens from time to time living in the mountains) you may have to tickle them to get them to you. It's not the ideal situation, but sometimes you have to.
You asked a question, you got the answer multiple times, if you don't like the answer fine, but there are people on here who have raised coondogs for longer than you or I have and run shockers on their dogs. Get over it. No one is telling you you have to. In fact the topic was brought up by YOU not anyone else.
Also as a side-note, there were guys who said the same thing about tracking collars when they came out. "If you had a real coondog, you wouldn't need no tracking collar." I guess we all know that's false now.
