The Sportsman’s Banquet
Feasting on God’s Word

God has laid it on my heart to start a ministry called The Sportsman’s Banquet. I would like to share God’s Word with my fellow coon hunters. At each competition hunt, I would like to spend about ten minutes giving a short devotion before we pray and draw out. I’d like to challenge everyone to feast on God’s Word by reading their Bible. The Bible says in Matthew 4:4, “….man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” My thought is to share the gospel with those I hunt with but that may not go to church. I’ve spoken at the Dobson hunt, Pilot hunt and the Appomattox BBOA hunt and so far this idea has been well received. Please let me know if you’d like me to present this ministry at your next hunt.
