Paul, the new 3225 that replaces the 3200 has the Tone feature now as well as no 9v battery to replace plus the transmitter is smaller.

Rod, the 3200 can be bought for a great price right now, but the newly released 3225 would be the way to go as it is expandle to 6 dogs and has the tone/vibrate feature.

not saying anything bad about the sportdog, i'm thinking of gettin one myself, but tritronics has a trade up program where you send in your old system and get 25% off any new system.

had 3 different tritronics through the years and neither held up even
with limited use. finally sent the classic back to tritronics and said --
keep it. Buy something else. I am getting the 3200 as well.

Im happy with my 3200 four dog system. the question is how much do you want to spend? for my money sportdog is a very good system. Its not a tritronics and the price differance dosen't make it a lesser tool. The only concern is the range ( 1 1/2 mile or 2 miles) that is important because we dont always hunt on flat open ground. Good luck Happy holidays
