LED Lights

With all of this talk about the new LED lights, I have become very interested and I am seriously considering purchasing one. My only question is are they much brighter that the 5100 style heads. I have a 28 volt bright eyes belt light and was wondering if this new LED light would be brighter to the point that everyone is talking about? Has anyone compare the 5100 head (28 volts) to the LED lights? thanks for your input!

I just purchased a G2 led head and my question is will it work in western rivers 21 volt belt light? My light has a rheostat switch.

He said he thought it would.

Also, with these LED heads will they dial down low? The only ones I have seen were very bright but they were USELESS in the summer.

I have the BE LED and yes it is brighter than the 5100 head. It is also a different color light. The old bulbs put off a yellowish light while the LED heads are more of a "white" light. They don't seem to throw back as much reflection from the leaves and such as the old incandesent bulbs do.
The first time I used mine my partner still had the 5100 head and we could tell a huge difference in the lights. My eyes aren't what they used to be and I can tell a big difference in shining the tree now.

I think spotting coon hair is WAY easier with a yellowish light then a white beam. Maybe my eyes will adjust to the G2 led head.
