Muck Boots are comfortable but they don't hold up. The couple pairs I've had both had the rubber crack where the toe flexes. I will not get another pair.

I'm interested in how the Boggs boots hold up compared to the Mucks.

Lacrosse boots don't hold up near what they used to since they went over seas, but the Lacrosse Alpha Burly Sport is the most comfortable boot I've ever worn. The problem is that I wear out a pair every year.

Got a pair off boggs that are 3-4 years old ( no chaps on them ). They are non-insulated and have held up well, but have not been worn in real tough briars much. They wear good.

Anybody try the Dewey's? They were supposed to change the chaps and I was wondering if anyone has tried them and what they think.

the heels wear out in the Mucks in a matter of weeks and the toe cracks like Todd said. I prefer the Lacrosse Alpha Burly Sport. They lasted much longer.

Randy, Ron has the Deweys and they look very similar to the Lacrosse Alpha Burly Sport. But the chaps were cheesy.

I bought my first pair of Mucks in June and have yet to have a problem, knock on wood. Comfortable to wear and I have put a lot of walking on mine.

IMO for coonhunting 70% of the year the old Lacrosse grange with a decent pair of insoles is the way to go. They are the coolest boots in the spring, summer, and early fall. They are pretty simple made and there isn't much to tear up or destroy. they are tight fitting and I like that especially if I am anywhere near any rocks or walking up hills, or if my foot gets deep in the mud. When it gets cold, I love a lacrosse alpha burly. They hae a thin rubber outer and puncture pretty easy and the inside wears out, but they just fit me right. The original Burly is just too heavy and the Muck just never fit me right and moves around too much on my foot. The Dewey's are nice, but I have the original chaps and they had little to be desired.

If you are looking for boots without chaps, the Bogs Blaze 100 are nice. They are $85 a pair, but work every penny to me.

I wore out several pairs of Lacrosse and Muck's. My last pair of Muck's went about 6 months before my feet started getting wet. I won't pay $90 to $120 for sorry quality boots and I'm just glad I don't have the cost of chaps on top of that.

I got so disgusted with whats on the market I went and bought a pair of $20 boots from TSC. They are starting to leak a little and aren't quite as comfortable but at least its justified.

I HAVE WORE MY MUCKS OUT AND THEN SOME. THEY ARE 2 YEARS OLD AND THE INSIDE HEELS ARE GONE BUT I FIXED THEM UP WITH SOME DUCT TAPE AND STILL LOVE THEM. THEY TO THIS DAY STILL DO NOT LEAK KNOCK ON WOOD. I HAVE HAD LACROSSE AND DON'T LIKE THE WAY THEY FIT AROUND THE ANKLE. I WAS GOING TROUGH LACROSSE EVERY 3 MONTHS NO KIDDING EVERY 3 MONTHS.

Between the 2 I like the mucks better. They fit me more snugly and have less slip than the lacrosse boots. Wore mine coonin, cuttin wood, squirrel hunting and not had any problems out of them other than peircing the neoprene crossing a fence. now that being said I just bought a pair of Drake boots and had the wick chaps cut off my lacrosse boots and sewed onto the Drakes. They have a sneaker type fit to me and are very comfortable but have only worn them a couple times so not sure just yet how the longevity will be but if they are anything like their waders for the waterfowlers they should last very well.
