Question about the reproducer's list, concerning deceased pups...

Do deceased pups affect a dog's reproduction percentages? I have a dog who had his first litter this year and of the 3 born, only 1 will ever be registered, as the others are now deceased. The dead pups were never permanently registered.

Just curious... I doubt he will ever have 100 pups to make the list, but just wondered how that works...

And do pups that are never permanently registered bring the percentage down?

If I'm not mistaken, its the litter registered pups that count.

AUTUMN IS RIGHT IT'S BASED ON TOTAL NUMBER OF PUPS LITTER REGISTERED.

SAY YOU HAVE A LITTER OF 10 AND REGISTER THEM, THEN 3 MONTHS LATER THERE ARE ONLY 2 LEFT, YOUR DOG STILL HAS 10 PUPS ON HIS RECORD UNLESS THE OWNER TURNS IN THE PAPERS AS DEAD TO BE TAKEN OFF THE COUNT.

If you litter registered the pups they count. It sucks but they count them even if they didn't make it. I registered a litter out of my female and about at about six weeks five out of seven of them died with parvo. I called UKC and told them but it doesn't matter it still counts against the stud and female.

HOW SURE ARE YOU ABOUT TURNING DEAD PAPERS. I ASSUME THAT WOULD BE JUST PUP PAPERS?

Turning in the papers from dead pups don't make the pup go away on the dogs record,if the pups was registered they are on that dogs record to stay no matter if never permanently registed or dead.

FOR TOTAL OF NUMBER PRODUCED IT ALL COUNTS.

BUT IN THE PART OF THE REPRODUCERS THAT THEY HAVE THERE IS A LIST FOR # OF PERMANENTLY REGISTERED PUPS. THAT'S WHAT i WAS TALKING ABOUT TAKING THE COUNT OFF.
