DID THEY TELL YOU WHAT PART OF FOOD THE KIDNEYS WERENT FILTERING ANYMORE?

MY ROCKY COULDNT FILTER PROTEIN ANY LONGER SO WE HAD TO FEED HIM THE LOWEST PROTEIN FEED AVAILABLE WHICH WAS 6% AND IT WAS $65 FOR A 55LB BAG.

MY ADVICE TO YOU IS IF SHE IS SUFFERING AND VERY SICK BEST THING, THOUGH HARD TO DO IS TO PUT HER DOWN AND DONT LET HER SUFFER. I SHOULD HAVE DONE THAT FOR MY ROCKY DOG BUT I DIDNT. 3 MONTHS AFTER WE FIRST FOUND OUT ABOUT HIM HE WAS DEAD. I SHOULD HAVE SUCKED IT UP BUT I JUST COULDNT. NOW I LOOK BACK AND SEE HOW MUCH HE REALLY DID SUFFER AND IT KILLS ME TO THINK I MADE HIM SUFFER LIKE HE DID.

had a 5 year old that had kidney failure. vet thought she may have gotten in some type of poison. she would eat a small amount of chicken for a while, then would not eat anything. we kept her hydrated with an IV under the loose skin on her neck. she seemed to do better when we did this but when we stopped she would go back to where she was. after alot of time and money she finally gave it up. she was as much a pet as she was a hunting dog and we gave her every chance we could. may have turned out better if we had caught it sooner. If I would have known the end results I would not have let her suffer like she did.
hope yours turns out better. just have not heard many sucess stories after they have gone so far.

Mark I had two Black & Tans suffer the same diease..One was 7 yrs old and the other was 10. I spent many hours and money at the vets to no avale..These hounds suffered needlessly with little or no hope of recovery..I know its a tough thing to do, but put your friend down..Sorry my friend..
