New management plans are out before the public and I'm sure hunter numbers will be reduced to help the herds recover, and if they do then I suppose that's Ok. Personally I haven't had a deer tag in over twelve or thirteen years, so I take no responsibility in the deal. But there will be some tough choices ahead and I'm sure people will learn to live with them.
We should probably give up on the mule deer and import whitetail deer, as they bred their first year and have two or three fawns causing a more robust herd. But that won't ever happen.......
keep'em treed,

Oh, ok. I was thinking whitetail deer all along. It sure dont take the whitetail long to expand. Ive herd my dad say that about 20 years or so ago there wasnt many deer around here. In 2005 they estimated to be 900,000 deer statewide!! There thick as flies over here. In some of the counties your allowed 4 (does) a day. Im not really in to the deer hunting though. Theres something I dont like about sitting in a tree and freezing to death waiting on something to walk by.
Kinda changing the subject I guess, but you said that Lion season was open year round. Is there a limit on them? Are they considered varmits or pest or something? Are they that many of them? Are they wanting rid of them? Just wondered, I know theres alot of states between us and everbody does it different, cause a year round season is not normal around here. The only game we can hunt year around is coyote (there getting thick too), beaver, and groundhog.
I better go work on them dog houses some more this evening.
