Fall bear season opens this weekend and old Ike is about ready for the hunt, and will most likely spend lots of time in the woods after them during the upcoming season. My hounds got a taste of things to come last week when I was ask to find and run down a problem bear for the state for one of their hunters. This bear was too big to be raiding campgrounds. The state had sent another houndsmen or two after him last fall but and he slipped away for some reason. Anyway, we put him down last week after a tough bay, fight and tree. He was a nice one for sure........
