Yellow Jackets~HELP!

We have tried and tried to find the nest. It is behind my dog yard in the woods. Too thick to see where they are going.

They have caused a lot of damage to my dogs and cost me a lot.

Anyone know how or WHAT to put out as bait to kill them from the nest?

I am feeding in the dark. Cleaning all feed up and removing feeders every morning.

Not too much I can do about the waters......my hounds have to have that.

They attacked my 10 week old pup several times. I mean they literally tried to take her down. They don't mess with the older dogs. Vet is now having to treat her everyday. She made it tho. That is the most important thing......I guess she'll be a house dog.

sterling makes a bag type yellow jacket trap. i think it uses a pheromone for the attractant.

sorry about your problem- i got in some once the had built a nest down the leg of some insulated hunting pants i had in a shed and the "guards" gave me a sting on the back of my calf that took about a month and a half to heal. EXTREMELY painful.

We have gotten in the woods and just fanned out several days in a row. When they fly ~ mostly right at dark ~ they go everywhere. It's like the know.......

Scary. I hate yellow jackets and rattle snakes!

John ~ can you imagine being 10 weeks old and be stung almost 40 X's in less then a minute? Bless her little heart. She is a trooper tho. Tough little red bone pup.....

Have someone bring in some honeybees.
Since my buddy put some out behind my house , I very seldom see any kind of wasp or hornet.

I have a hive of honey bees in an old building. They haven't had any effect on my yellow jackets and other bees. Yellow jackets here get in feed pans and water pans and all but they are not really agressive unless you stir a nest up. Not that big a problem here. I have sprayed wasp and hornet spray in the holes and covered the hole with something and killed that nest. Our honey bees are not agressive either unless they are stirred up.
