Though coon hunting comes first, I am also a pretty avid deer hunter. We don't have a severe overpopulation of deer in my area, we do have HEAVY hunting pressure so my views might be different than those in other areas, but my 2 cents worth....
#1=I sort of like the idea, but think in realty there will be a very small percent of hunters that wont drop a nice buck if it comes by.
#2=Killing does that are over a month pregnant just goes against the core of wildlife management to me. Those are the survivors of an already hard season-let them be!
#3=has my vote-firearms seasons are way too long in this state. Like someone else said that is why we are not a "big" buck state.
#4=halolula!! I love that 1st week of coon season before I have to worry about the deer hunters and getting the hounds in early, now we will have more time!! I believe 9 days is a plenty long firearms season. Though I do agree it puts us past the rut.
#5 and #6=no opinion.
