Pay her entry fee to hunt her at Autumn Oaks, she will be in heat right about that time.

Heat

Nothing is guranteed but some folks say kenneling her next to other females in heat may help.

Tiff, had the same thing with Dawn. She'd had several litters before and had always came into heat regularly. Then we went through about a year long dry spell. We tried everything from kenneling her with females in heat/due to come in heat to full spectrum lighting. Nothing worked, she just came in on her own.

getting a female to come in to heat

Several years ago, my vet prescribed a pill/medication called Dostinex in order to get one of my females (non-coonhound) to come in to heat. I had to order it through a pharmacy in Canada, but it worked.

female not coming in to heat

I don't remember how much, but I also don't remember that it was out of the ordinary for the cost of a medication. My vet had/has a client with English Setters that hunt and he uses this medication to have them breeding in time in the spring so that he can start puppies in the woods before it gets cold.

Stay away from ANY meds that makes them come into heat. It will mess them up BAD. The folks In know who have tried the pills say the litters were small, pups sickly, and female had problems afterwards.

Get her off of corn based feed, have her hormone levels checked, dont let her get overweight, and keep her on a daily vitamin program, and she will most likely come in heat.

John, PG600 is made for pigs to make them come into heat.

When you give a female a shot it burns her badly..She will need to be muzzled and kept to herself and in the shade because she will be in immense pain for an hour or more.

Be forewarned, Giving a dog this can cause irreversible damage to the "female parts" of your female and increases her chances of ovarian cysts and cancers tenfold.

Someone advising someone to use this is either careless or uneducated about the ramifications of using it.
