I've got a Competition 20 volt and really like it, after about 7 years it has a short in the cord for the head, but thats the only problem I've ever had with it.

I've got a 24 volt and for the pass 7yrs,I have not had any problems at all.I just started using a k light led head on it and love it.Super bright and no need for a spotlight. I hunted 10 days w/o charging and still had plenty of light left.

Does your LED head have a rheostat on the head, where you can dim it down low ?
I have a Competition 20 volt now, but have had their 24 volt, never a prob with either, I think the 20 is as bright as the 24, you just get a little longer burn time with the 24...............good luck........Tim

Really good lights. I've had the same 24v for at least 4 years and it's never let me down and I hunt pretty much every night all year round.

Yes Knox,The switch is on the head.I like the old head also, but it is just a little heavier, with the six little leds on the outer side and the spot leds in center
