Check out some kind of XD from Springfield. Very nice pistols and I love mine. Will not get rid of it. I have a full size but its my woods/river gun and I have man hands...lol. They make some compacts.

I have a Taurus millennium pro .45 It is a smaller pistol. and 10+1 capacity. I would recommend it. I bought it for a carry gun. Wanted a 45 to carry and this was the only sub compact that I could find that fit my hand and I could conceal fairly easy.

i have owned alot of different pistols and by far my fav is my kimber tactical custum II in 45. its a single stack which makes it easier the grip and is the most accurate and smooth shooting out all the semi autos i have shot. i hated the glock 45. just way to wide for me. sold in a month of having it.
the sig 226 is also a nice and is our duty wepons at our department. its in my truck. ill try and get a few pics of it tomorrow.

here is a couple pics of my kimber

i took this pic to show how narrow it is..

and if you really like small (i just got it so i gots to show it off..lol)
here is my new walther ppk 380 (my james bond gun)
its not a 45 but it has to be accurate. james bond never missed with it.

Any of the 1911 type pistols would be a good choice for small fingers or any other reason.

I like my Springfield XD45C. If fits me good and shoots great. But if you are looking for something smaller grip wise definitely check out the Kahr line as Adam suggested above. They are a nice single stack pistol. I'm going to be looking at the them closer in the near future for my next handgun purchase. Probably in a 9mm though.

Would you by chance be the guy in the Burger King commercials? I've got a sweet Para Ordnance 45 that I would part with. It is a 1911 frame. I am not a hammer man. I like "Glock" style autos. PM me if you are interested in details on the Para 45 cal.

Tim,

you will regret not buying a 45 mag if you settle for a stantard 45.

There's the Glock 37 45 GAP not ACP pretty much a 45 acp shortend reducing grip size. Budsgunshop.com has a special on them for 379

http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/...ts_id=411538439

You should go to a gun store and just grip some different autos and see what feels the best.

There are pistols, and then there are Sig pistols. Take a good look at Sig. I have a pair of them...they're wonderful, accurate, tough, and comfortable. You wont jam or "stovepipe" a Sig.

the 1911 are deff.. the best 45, but the price tag is a little high. if you want one a little cheaper but still made real good get a ruger p89 45. real accurate fora 45 and not too wide either. my dads got the 45 and the 9mm in the p89 stainless stell and both real good looking and have good performance.

If you are looking at 1911....

Look at a Taurus 1911. For the money it's one of the best, in my opinion. I've fired about 1000 rounds through mine of the cheapest ammo I could find, and never had a jam.

Just a little tip for everyone if you want to post pic of your guns great but, block out the sn#. Sometimes people sell guns and years later report them stolen for insurance scams. You dont want to get caught up in this kind of mess.
