How to score !

At a RQE . All dogs are struck work the track A little ways ,& tree all dogs treed , we get closer & we could tell thay was in a hole. We get about 75ft from the hole 1dog come to us , makes no atempt to go back , we get to the hole we see 2 dogs at the hole .1 dog gone , 1dog leaves and can't be handled . the one dog is handled ,but pulls a possom out of the hole . Only 2 of handlers see the possom .

Only the judge has to see the possum to scratch dogs for offgame. This isn't the same as scoring a tree where a cast vote would be required, offgame is a judges decision. Any dog at the hole would be scratched.

I believe only the dog(s) handled at the hole are scratched. If they quit track and come in they are minus track and tree. Any dog still out gets minus tree points for leaving tree and gets the 8 run on their track.

It doesn't seem fair , but I believe that is the way it is scored. Dogs not at the hole are saved from an off game scratch because they get the benefit of doubt that they could have been on a differant tree/track.

Sounds like a wild one Stan !

All dogs at the hole are scratched if the judge sees the possum. Regardless if they are handled or not. If they were there and run away, and you see the offgame, scratch. RQE use nite ch and grand rules.
